January 2026 Update
Or The Other Side of Icepocolypse
Hello, friends! I hope this post/email finds you well, and not iced under the snowpocolypse. While our area was hit harder than I expected, my family was able to stay cozy inside with power, and our food lasted until it was safe to venture on the roads again.
Welcome to my new subscribers! I got quite a few recently thanks to my friend Amanda who gave me and my author mission a shout-out, which I greatly appreciate.
My publisher, Elk Lake, is working on creating an e-ARC file for Love, Sax, And All That Jazz, which means things are really going to be moving soon! Still no dates to share yet, but I think that info should be coming soon. Of course, I will share here and on Instagram as soon as I can!
Between the book edits and grieving the loss of my mom, I have allowed myself to not go full-throttle on my next project, but I am still committed to working on Always, Jane. This is my adult Christian contemporary idea that is a modern reimagining of Jane Fairfax (from Emma)’s story. My hope is to get it to my agent later this year. Once we have that on sub, I hope to work on another YA project.
I also have a short story that is going to be published with Spark Flash Fiction on February 6. I will post the link when it’s live! It’s called “Snow Quest,” and it’s about two friends who get snowed in at a sci-fi fan convention.
I read the absolute sweetest contemporary romance in January, Seashells and Other Souvenirs by Rachel Lawrence. When I tell you this is a book that spoke to my soul, I do not exaggerate. Jude, the male main character, is exactly the type of guy I love to see in books, and his sweet relationship with Alex warmed my heart. It also touches on topics of family, traditions, and growing up. And even better, it has a beach setting. If that sounds up your alley, check it out!
