May Update
Hello, friends! Wow, May was quite an exciting month packed with my book’s release, end of the school year for my oldest, and other events. I apologize I never technically did an April update, but since I was sharing so much about the book’s release details, I’m sure no one really noticed. I just want to give a massive THANK YOU to everyone who has bought, read, and reviewed my book! If you’ve read my book but haven’t left a review on Amazon and/or Goodreads, I would greatly appreciate it if you did. It doesn’t have to be fancy at all, just a sentence or two sharing what you enjoyed will suffice. More reviews means more visibility for possible readers to find my book. I have already heard from some teens who enjoyed my book and I’m so honored to have reached some of my target audience and inspired them! I hope there is more to come.
I finished my latest draft of Always, Jane in April and have it with a Beta reader now. After changing my mind multiple times, I think I have committed to a new YA project to work on. I feel freshly motivated after hearing from teen readers wanting more Christian YA books; I need to get a move on! Feel free to pray that I can get some good writing time in this summer.
In May I read an indie published YA contemporary I immensely enjoyed called Erase the Empty Sky by Hannah Stone. It deals with grief and at first I was slightly concerned it would be too heavy, but I was sucked in and quickly won over as Annabelle and Vance interact and hope began to blossom. I would definitely recommend it for a clean teen read.
